Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
It was during college that Dr. Munis grew to love the idea of art and science coming together in the form of dentistry. Since then, she’s loved using her technical and artistic skills to help patients achieve their best oral health. Being able to connect with people while helping to ease their dental anxieties is one of her favorite parts of dentistry. Today, she remains passionate and dedicated to providing great dentistry, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Munis studied at the University of Houston for her undergraduate studies. She later attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry to obtain her dental doctorate. Over the years, she’s been dedicated to expanding her skills and expertise, and she’s even undergone continuing education courses in dental implants, nitrous oxide, and oral conscious sedation. She plans to join the Texas Dental Association soon and is working towards a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Munis enjoys exploring local coffee shops and hiking around town with her husband and their two young sons. Other than spending quality time with her children, she loves being with her husband and watching reruns of The Office. Her hobbies involve hiking, binge-watching on Netflix, and cooking. One fun fact about her: she went to middle school with Jennifer Lawrence in Kentucky!
