Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
During college, Dr. Munis grew to love the idea of art and science coming together in the form of dentistry. The chance to use critical thinking and her hands to perfect people’s teeth so they can achieve their best oral health appealed to her on a deep level. Being able to get to know her patients while easing their dental anxieties was also a big goal of hers when getting into dentistry. Today, she remains passionate and dedicated to providing great care and connection, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Munis studied at the University of Houston and later graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry to obtain her dental doctorate. Over the years, she’s been dedicated to expanding her skills and expertise, completing continuing education courses in dental implants, sedation dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and Botox.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Taking full advantage of being based in Austin, Dr. Munis enjoys exploring local coffee shops and hiking around town with her husband and their two young sons who keep her on her toes. Other than spending quality time with her children, she loves being with her husband and watching reruns of The Office, and her big goal is to visit all of the National Parks before she turns 50. One fun fact about her: she completed the Austin marathon without training!
